History

Maranatha Christian Fellowship was birthed out of a home Bible study group. After much prayer and fasting the group believed that it was God's will to establish a non-denominational church in Luling. On Sunday, July 27, 1986, Maranatha Christian Fellowship held it's first official service in the Carter and Company Insurance building across from the Post Office. On November 20, 1988 Oral Hardin was installed as the first pastor of Maranatha Christian Fellowship.

Pastor Oral and his wife, Donna, faithfully served the church and Maranatha prospered and grew and moved to it's present location and eventually purchased the building.

In June of 2000 Pastor Hardin felt called to minister in New Mexico. Associate Pastor, Allen Davis, and wife, Kim, were installed as co-pastors of Maranatha Christian Fellowship on Sunday, June 25, 2000 and are currently the pastors.
