Allen and Kim Davis, Pastors of Maranatha Christian Fellowship, were ordained June of 2000. They were both born and raised in Luling, Texas and have lived here all their lives.
Pastor Allen & Kim both attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. They also both attended Life Christian University and Pastor Allen holds an Associate's Degree in Theology from that institution.
They have three grown children, who are all married, and they have five wonderful grandchildren. Pastors Allen and Kim strongly believe God has raised them up to train and equip believers for the work of the ministry in this area and abroad. They believe that knowing how much God loves us is the key to living a victorious life in Christ Jesus!
As Senior Pastor, Allen shares the Sunday morning message and leads the monthly "Men Talk" men's fellowship. Kim shares her excellent teaching skills on Wednesdays. Both also serve on the praise team.
Besides being Youth Pastor, Patrick also serves as an Elder. Patrick grew up in Luling and has been a part of Maranatha Christian Fellowship from its inception in 1986 when he was a young boy. Patrick has been playing guitar and providing lead vocals on the praise team since his teenage years. Soon after graduating from high school, he became the Youth Pastor. He also is a real estate broker in Lockhart, TX. His wife Courtney and he have two children, Andrew and Anna.
As a Youth Pastor, it is important to Patrick to help equip the teenagers of the community to be leaders, both in and out of the church, and to teach them to seek God first in order to make wise choices in all areas of their lives.
Rick Carter is Maranatha's Administrative Elder. Rick graduated from Luling High School and Texas A&M University with a BBA in Finance. After serving as a Captain in the US Army, Rick returned to Luling to start and continue a Life, Health, and Financial Services business for over 42 years! Rick has enjoyed serving as Deacon, Elder, Treasurer and Helps Ministry Coordinator at Maranatha. He is married to Pam Carter, Maranatha's Office Administrator.
Pam Carter makes sure that the office runs smoothly on a daily basis. She also serves as Maranatha's webmaster and IT technician. She has been married to Rick Carter for 38 years and has 5 children and 10 grandchildren.
